Q: Can I contact the laboratory advisers directly for further technical discussion?
Yes, you are welcome to discuss technical issues related to internship projects with lab advisors. However, to apply for the internship, you have to use the application website. Once accepted, a graduate student of your host professor will be appointed as your mentor, and he/she will be happy to provide further information and necessary assistances.
Q: What is the format for recommendation letter?
There is no specific format for the recommendation letter. Please do have your sponsor sign the recommendation letter.
Q: Can I apply for an internship longer than 3 months?
We welcome enthusiastic participants who are willing to devote to a well-planned research project. Free dormitory accommodation and cost of living supplement are available for up to 12 weeks.
Q: Am I expected to submit a final report before my internship ends?
All participants are expected to submit a final report in the last week of their stay.
Q: When can I expect the program scholarship?
Participants will receive the scholarship in cash after submitting the final report which has been approved by his/her host professor.
Q: Will I be able to go out of Taiwan during the internship period?
No. Participants must stay in Taiwan until they have finished the internship.
Q: Do I have other accommodation options?
We offer free quad rooms for program participants. You need to pay the room difference if you prefer to stay in a twin room or single room.
Q: Does the program supply food?
No, all participants will have to cover food cost on their own.
Q: Can I stay in a dormitory with kitchen?
For safety consideration, dormitories on campus are not equipped with kitchen.
